Dr Reddy's Pantoprazole
Dr Reddy's Pantoprazole is the second Dr Reddy's product to be made available in New Zealand from 1st January 2008. Dr Reddy's Pantoprazole gained sole supply status on 1 June 2008.
Pantoprazole tablets contain pantoprazole 20mg or 40mg. Pantoprazole is a fully funded, prescription medicine. Pantoprazole is used to treat and prevent the recurrence of: duodenal (the tube leading out of the stomach) & gastric (stomach) ulcers and reflux disease. Pantoprazole is also used to treat duodenal or gastric ulcers associated with the use of NSAIDs and with antibiotics to kill Helicobacter pylori (bacteria often found in the stomach of patients with ulcers). Pantoprazole is used to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a rare condition associated with too much acid production). Do not use if you have an allergy to pantoprazole or any of the tablet ingredients. Precaution – before you are treated with Pantoprazole for a gastric ulcer, gastric cancer must first be excluded. The most common side effects are stomach pain, diarrhoea, wind (flatulence), constipation, and headache. Normal Doctors Fees Apply. Always read the label and use strictly as directed.
