Research

Dr Reddy's is involved in a number of research and development programmes to improve public access to high quality treatments and effective healthcare services.

Clinical Research

Current clinical research interests include the polypill trials led by Professor Anthony Rodgers at University of Auckland Clinical Trials Research Unit. The polypill combines four medicines routinely used to treat heart disease and the clinical trials will aim to determine if these medicines are safe and tolerable when taken together, and effective when combined into one 'fixed-dose' pill.

Professor Rodgers' research is being supported locally with funding from the National Heart Foundation and the Health Research Council. The trials are generating significant interest both in New Zealand and internationally with eight other countries participating.

The polypill is manufactured by Dr. Reddy's and supplied for the research by Dr Reddy's.
